The Board of Directors

-Membership of the BOD requires a minimum level of 4th Dan and a recommendation from a member of BOD.
The BOD may in special cases where the experience and the knowledge of the practitioner isn' t reflected by his grade, allow the admission of lower graded practitioners.

1. -Eventual changes, amendments, or annulments of any part of the regulatives, shall take place in consultation between the board members, and the founders of the organization.
   

1. -Should any dispute arise between the BOD members, the founders shall act as mediators, putting forward propositions acceptable to al parts. Should a compromise not be possible, then the founders shall act as arbitrators and make the final ruling.
   

1. -For any meeting of the BOD to have decision power, shall at least one of the founders be present, and the founder will have veto rights on issues that may lead to any change on the basic philosophy of the IBF or it s rules and regulatives.
   

1. -The founders of the IBF are permanent members and can only be excluded if the breach the rules stipulated in paragraph 3. The founders are Jorge F. Garibaldi and Flemming S. Larsen.
   

1. -The IBF, in its present form, can only exist if one of the founders is member of the BOD.
   

- In every member country up to 3 National Directors are appointed, that function as coordinators for the members of that country. In countries with autonomous regions, such as Spain or Germany, the BOD will appoint Regional Directors as well.
